April 24, 2017 A service project in skirts

Hello everyone!
I hope you have had a good week!
I really don't have much to write about. This week I have learned most of our area so that is a plus!.  We did have the opportunity to provide a service by helping pull down a basement ceiling.  It was very dusty, we hadn’t dressed properly for the project but it was fun.
Love ya

April 17th, 2017 - The Three Saskateirs

I hope you are all doing well and happy Easter! It is weird to think that this is my 4th Easter away from home.
It is always hard to say good bye.  I am really going to miss Bergland it has a piece of my heart!
I am excited to share the message of the Restoration to the people of Saskatoon though.
So Sister Kostiuk and I drove to Winnipeg on Thursday!  When we got there we switched vehicles and went to Regina. We stayed the night in Regina then drove to Saskatoon on Friday. That is a total of 12 hours of driving.
We are tri-panning in Saskatoon.  The third sister is Sister Plowman is from Airdre Alberta. There are three wards in Saskatoon.  Ryerson Seguin is the ward mission leader in our ward.  I also got to see Mark Tanner at church on Sunday.

Nothing too overly exciting I hope you have a good Easter!
Love,
Sister Russell

April 10th, 2017 – Well I’ve got a job lined up for next summer

So I got transfer emails today.........Well I am getting transferred.... to Saskatoon! But get this Sister Kostiuk is still going to be my companion and we have another sister with us Sister Plowman she is from Alberta too! Sadly Bergland is closing and will be covered by the Warroad sisters.  I am sad to be leaving Bergland and the members here! I am excited and happy that Sister Kostiuk and I will be together another transfer! I we will be driving on Thursday and staying in Regina then go up on Friday to Saskatoon!

Well I painted a deck for members this week it took a bit of time like two days! But it was so much fun and they own a resort and offered us jobs for next summer! I just love them so much they are like our grandparents!

I hope you all will have a great day and Easter week!

Love,

Sister Russell

April 3rd, 2017 - I got a Sunburn in March

Hello!!!
Well it is April weird how time goes by so quick! Well we had district meeting in Bergland on Tuesday. So we only had to drive 19ks to our church and the Elders came to us! During the meeting there was a white mouse that ran across the room and then the Elders of course had to have a closer look and the mouse ran into the kitchen. We cornered the mouse and one of the Elders caught it! Wow the Elders where screaming like little girls. The Elder who caught it did not want to kill it so they took the mouse with them so they could let it go in the wild ( how majestic).
Well we went tracting in Rainy River and we took the member who feeds us on Tuesday with us she was a big help! We only had one door slammed in our face which was a miracle in its self! I got sunburn as well it is beautiful here! You can tell it is spring! Well we did the tracting in Rainy and got a new investigator and we taught one person on the door step!! And a few potentials. It makes a difference when you go tracting with one of the locals. We also went visiting teaching with a few sisters in the branch! Conference was great! I loved all the talks I don't think I could pick one because they were all fantastic! Well today we drove to Rainy and parked our car and walked to Baudette! How many people can say that they have walked to another country!
Very exciting news for the Perry family.  I’m happy for them.
Well I hope you all have a great week and if you have not watched conference watch it!
Love,

Sister Russell
