May 30th, 2017 – Last day of being young

Hi,
Thank you all for the birthday wishes- Thank you for the video of Oakley singing happy birthday
So I guess by now you have already heard that I am going back to Winnipeg.... The scary part is I will be driving. We had a really busy week planned.  Unfortunately most of our appointments fell through.  One high light was we went to visit a sister who hasn’t been to church in awhile.  She said “do you mind if my daughter sits in on this discussion” So now we have another person to teach which is really nice.  On Friday we had zone conference and our interviews with the mission president.  (You can see the official zone meeting pictures on the Craig’s face book page)  On Saturday we went with some members to assist with their annual city clean up.  They have adopted some alleys in town that they clean every year.  All I can say is some people discard some very interesting items.  I also met a lady named Sylvia (Shields) Loveridge who said she used to baby sit Uncle Dale.  Next update will be from Winnipeg.

7 months and 3 days till Christmas

Hello Everyone!
Happy Victoria Day! I hope you have had a great sunny week!
So nothing too exciting happened this week... But I think the miracle of the week was when we decided to go to an investigators house and we saw her and she was packing her bags because she was moving that night. You may think why is this a miracle.  Well it is a miracle to know that she is moving instead of us buzzing her door wondering what happened to her.
I cut Sister Kostiuk hair Saturday night.... It has been a long time since I cut hair...... I still know how to hold the scissors.... but cutting is a different thing.  I really hope it’s even. I hope you all will have a great week!

Sister Russell

May 14th, 2017 – The one and only Mother’s Day

This week has been really good. The only downside is I have been sick. On the bright side we have a new investigator and a baptism date with her! I hope you got to speak with your Mother`s and those mother role models in your life!!!
So I read a talk from President Gordon B. Hinckley from October 2007 General Conference called Slow to Anger. I have seen and I guess have experienced getting angry   easily or mad at some really stupid things! I have seen so much road rage on my mission it is crazy how people even myself get so mad and we don't even know them. I have learned a lot from this talk how I don't want to get mad at stupid things like road rage. So from this talk I really want to work on getting less angry or "hangry" because when I am mad I cannot think straight and I know that anger is from the devil (Ecclesiastes 7:9).  So will you join me this week and be slow to anger? And If you have not read this talk or it has been awhile read it!
I hope ya have a great week!
Love,
Sister Russell

Kenzie’s Mission Blog

May 8th, 2017  I found out my new rain coat isn’t water proof

So it started to rain more heavily yesterday evening and I thought my coat was rain proof... I guess it wasn't because my arms where wet. Well news with me I got a call from my mission president and he told us there would be a new sister from another mission coming into our mission and so we would not be in a tri-pan anymore which is really sad. So Sister Kostiuk and I are still together in our same ward but Sister Plowman was leaving lucky for us she is still in the same city so we will still see her lots. We got black boxes installed in our car so it talks to us if we are speeding, stop to quickly, not wearing our seat belt and at the end of every transfer we will get a grade on our driving! Doesn't that sound like fun!
Something I have never done before that we did is we tracted an apartment building and we got a new investigator from doing that!!
Well I hope you all will have a great week and remember that it is Mother's day on Sunday!
